Research Interests
My interest in hematology and oncology started early during medical school. Besides being a clinically working physician, I always felt a strong interest in basic science. To examine and therefore understand life from single cell basis up to complex organisms is really fascinating to me.
My special interest is to uncover the diverse effects of NFkB in tumorgenesis and the possible interactions with cell-cycle control. A closer understanding of these interactions can lead to more specific treatment and thus to less toxic and more efficient cancer-therapy.
